The amount of times I've googled this issue has resulted in no issue similar to this showing up. I apologise if this is long, unintelligible, or offers no useful information.

So far, none of the above have fixed anything or changed the result bar finding out that only 12 files go missing if I don't join the servers or download addons.

I have also verified, unsubbed and uninstalled everything, then reinstalled Garry's Mod and then restarted my PC. Just deleting the download folder in Garry's Mod, verifying and restarting Garry's Mod. Manually deleting everything in the Garry's Mod folder(including addons) and reinstalling.Īll of the above but also clearing the steam download cache in settings, verifying folders and restarting my PC. Unsubbing and deleting all addons and the addons folder. Verifying and immediately trying to rejoin. I have tried quite a few things to fix this, these include: This trend remains constant and I have not had a situation where I close the game and do not have missing files. No reason as to why but I've noticed this trend: when I load and quit without addons or trying to join a server 12 files always go missing and are re-validated, when I load and quit with the addons or after joining, 16 files are missing. The unusual part is this: when loading the game and exiting, I always verify my files. As it stands, I am not sure what could be causing this or what could be causing internet issues(if any). The people I've spoke to seems to think it could be network interruption but I can join most servers fine, I've only had this issue with two. If I try to join again I will usually crash to desktop. Right, unusual that this is happening but my WiFi and Wired Connection are fine. I try to join again but this time I join in, load a bit, and get that little red text in the corner before loosing connection. Okay, I check my internet and all is fine. Fourth: Open the contents of the decompiled folder called CSSGameContent that you previously extracted, you should see a folder called CSSGameContent. Enter the 'garrysmod' folder, than open the 'addons' Folder. Upon first trying to connect to the server - I timed out. Right Click 'Garry's Mod' and go to Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files.

So, my issue is that I cannot join certain servers that I could join before (the one I'm trying to join has just about 60 addons) and get a series of differing results when attempting to do so. On a side note, first message here so apologies if I missed some Reddit etiquette or suchlike. Hi, so, I usually wouldn't put up a post here for help but I've scrolled through so many old and new forums and steam discussions trying to see if anyone has a fix for this issue, I've also asked people via discord and have done as instructed.
